Hywel Dda Primary School is a busy, nurturing and friendly school situated in Ely in the South West of Cardiff. 

We offer a happy and caring environment where children feel safe and secure. The education and curriculum we provide is carefully matched to the learning needs of individual children, and is aimed to make learning exciting and engaging, so that all children make excellent progress. Our aim is to provide a warm, welcoming and happy environment where pupils are encouraged to achieve their full potential and develop into responsible citizens.

We take pride in our school site and grounds and use them extensively to enhance children’s learning. As children progress through the school they will be offered the opportunity to participate in many extra curricular activities. We hope the time every child spends here will benefit them greatly and will give them a love for learning.
